artist Statement

How does capitalism, consumerism, fandom, internet culture, and social media shape human behavior?

My work seeks to answer these questions using various physical and digital mediums like collage, textiles, painting, sculpture, augmented reality, virtual reality, and animation.

Having a background in advertising and commercial art has helped me understand how consumerism, media, and technology influence the culture and behavior of the masses.

My work is the conscious and subconscious output of current events, politics, personal relationships, and social norms and loosely resembles commercial art forms.

I use iconography, advertising, digital content, AR filters, selfies, etc., told through humor, wit, and a playful tone to poke fun at these themes.I have become self-aware and use this as a bit of a coping mechanism as I actively participate in this world.
