"It was a difficult choice. Each entry brought a lot to the table and felt wholly unique. I found Rush Hour Rituals to engage me on multiple levels: visually, mentally, and emotionally. As a series of short vignettes of a given time of day I really connected with so many of the moments, people, environments, and situations. There was a both a sense of keen world observation and deft interpretation to a simplified yet textural medium. While not at all photo-realistically rendered, it was skillfully executed and I was transported to each location's atmosphere and feeling."
