The Ask: Promote The Commuter film through an innovative digital experience that goes beyond traditional movie marketing to create genuine user engagement.

The Idea: Movie quizzes are typically shallow clickbait—we wanted to create something that felt personal and genuinely intriguing, matching the film's themes of surveillance and identity. We developed the first-of-its-kind immersive personality quiz that used Google Cloud Vision AI API to analyze users' Facebook images, creating a truly personalized experience that made each participant feel like they were part of the thriller's world.

The Execution:

  • Content Strategy: Collaborated with Creative Director to craft quiz questions that balanced entertainment value with meaningful personality insights, ensuring each question advanced both user engagement and film promotion.

  • Visual Development: Created comprehensive flat illustrations and detailed storyboards that translated the film's aesthetic into an interactive digital experience.

  • Technical Collaboration: Worked closely with development team to ensure visual assets could be seamlessly integrated with AI technology, balancing creative vision with technical requirements.

  • AI Integration Design: Designed user interface and visual flow that made the complex AI analysis feel natural and engaging rather than invasive or technical.

  • Experience Flow: Crafted a narrative arc through the quiz that built tension and intrigue, mirroring the film's suspenseful storytelling while delivering personalized results.
